Gibson Heritage

It's not every day we get to see a 40 year old acoustic guitar of this caliber, but right now we have a 1970 Gibson Heritage acoustic in the store.  This beautiful old guitar has rosewood back and sides, ebony fretboard and bridge, dot inlays, tortoise grain binding, with diamond and curlicues peg head ornamentation.  The real finishing touch to this old grand, old acoustic is the case: a fully tooled leather outside, with a soft, cowhide patterned interior.  The case even still has the key.

This Heritage has the deep, ringing resonance of a quality vintage instrument that comes only from 40 years of playing.  The guitar has nowhere near the wear one would expect from a guitar that had been around for four decades, and a new set of strings really brought out the guitar's deep bass and bell-like higher strings.

When in the case, it looks like Roy and Dale should be packing it up for a ride across the range.

Click the link below, and you can see more of this beautiful, old Gibson. (This jaw-dropper is now sold.)
