You don't see many used Paul Reed Smith McCarty guitars for sale, especially not around here.  At the moment, we have this purple flamed PRS McCarty solidbody, serial number 2 66258.

It's hard to get the real color of this captured in a photo, but these photos will give you the idea.  This guitar is stock all the way, with two humbuckers, one volume knob, one push/pull tone knob, and a three way selector switch.

This is not a museum piece, it's a player's guitar, with a really clean finish.   The chrome humbucker covers and the stop tailpiece have some of the corrosion that comes from being played, but the top is virtually unmarked, and only light marks on the back from being played. Moon dot fret markers are very nice. (Moon dot markers are abalone, cut so each marker has a crescent moon in it.)

The body is mahogany, with a carved, East Coast maple top.  The neck is mahogany, fretboard is rosewood.

This color is available now on McCartys only as a special order. Comes with the original hard shell case (as it should).
