This is a great mandolin for an even better price. The top is hand carved, fully graduated, solid spruce. the back and sides are the same, but in solid maple. No laminates are used in this model, none at all. The neck is also maple, carved in a rounded "V" profile. From the mother of pearl inlay on the headstock to the engraved tailpiece, this vintage sunburst mandolin is top notch. Add a bone nut and an adjustable, ebony bridge, binding, an adjustable truss rod, and this polished beauty is about all one could ask for. Dimensions are as follows: Scale length is 13.75". Upper bout 6.75", lower bout 10", 2.5" depth, body length of 12.75", and an overall length of 27.25". Model number is LM-520-VS. Each comes with D'Addario strings.
