| Wednesday - String Cheese Day |
|
Quick, name one major band with the word "cheese" in their name. No? Try harder. Really, try harder. Okay, fine, let me help you: String Cheese Incident. These guys conjure up visions of the Grateful Dead, Phish, Jimmy Buffet rhythms, and violins. Violins? You bet. Check out this video, and somewhere around four minutes into it, watch the electric mando player shift gears. Cool stuff, this. In honor of the String Cheese Incident cats, we're having a big orchestral string day here at the Backstage.
Ingles Violin and Bow Stands These great little stands are durable, and a very handy way to put your violin down for a few moments between sessions. Normally these sell for $35, but during String Cheese day, they are marked down to a ridiculously low $23. They are quite the handy holder for violins, mandolins, fiddles, and violas.
Drop by the store for unannounced specials on violin strings and related items. It's the third day of Spring-A-Palooza 2011, and there's more to come tomorrow. These string related deals end at 6:00 today, though.
