Nobody knows more about Fender and Marshall tube amplifiers than Tony. He's revived amps for players all over the Southeast, and his insistence on tone quality means these players get their amp back as the absolute best they can be. (Around here, players refer to a Tony-repair as getting their amp "Fosterized".) Replacing caps, transformers, checking tubes, finding bad solder joints, identifying fried resistors, etc., are all part of a normal day in our repair department. If your amp could stand a good dose of Fosterizing, just ship us your amp chassis. It's not hard or expensive to ship the chassis of any Fender or Marshall, just follow the instruction in the article on the left side of this page, "How To Ship Your Amp". We can also repair other amps, just give Tony a call or drop him an email, and tell him what you've got going on, and he can tell you how we can help. Use the "Contact Info" on the left side of the page to contact Tony. We're not just about amp repair, though. No matter what your guitar needs, whether it's something as simple as having new strings put on, or a simple set up, to having the neck completely re-fretted, or having a bone nut hand-cut to fit your guitar's neck, we can handle it for you. There are a lot of little "tweaks" we can do for you that will breathe new life into your favorite old guitar. For example, do the pickups in your guitar seem to feedback and squeal? If pressing gently on the pickup with your fingertips changes the feedback qualities, then it may be that your pickups are "microphonic", i.e., they are acting like microphones, and reproducing your guitar's sound vibrations. We can fix that for you. You can send us the whole guitar, or just the pickups, and we'll "pot" your pickups and eliminate their noisy characteristics. Potting a pickup involves infusing a non-reverberant material into the coils of the pickup, so they can't vibrate inside, no matter how loud you play. There are a few things we don't do. (It's a short list, but there are a few things.) For example, we don't do complete refinishing. To do that properly requires spray booths and equipment we don't have on the premises, and since we won't do anything halfway, we'll recommend you find a guitar shop that specializes in refinishing. (Like I said, it's a short list.)
