Here's our take on this ASAT, but for the full details, read the build sheet in the images.

This is a stunning ASAT Classic S.  Made in the USA, this one has four custom options that really put it over the top:

  • Rear contour (tummy cut)
  • Vintage tint satin neck finish
  • Wood binding
  • Four-ply tortoise pickguard

The body is alder, and the finish is appropriately called "Old School Sunburst".

The pickups are:

  • Neck: ASAT Classic
  • Middle: S-500
  • Bridge: ASAT Classic

This is a stunning example of G&L craftsmanship.  Just think of it as a "Nashville ASAT".

Includes the correct G&L, black/white hardshell case.

Please notice we have extra photos of the fingerboard, because this is not rosewood, it is chechen.   Chechen is a Central American hardwood, very similar to rosewood, but more highly figured, with a real mix of colors. Red, gold, black, and yellow are mixed into the grain, making this a stunning neck.

Since the traditional rosewood fretboards are now a potential import problem due to the CITES regulations, G&L has stepped right up and eliminated rosewood issues from this guitar.  Chechen is not listed as endangered in the CITES regs, so you can take this anywhere without the thorny rosewood issues other guitars may encounter.
