Backstage Music offers a wide range of violins for rent, including 1/16, 1/8, 1/4, 1/2, 4/4, and other sizes. All our instruments are well-maintained, and the rental includes a case, and a good bow.
Our rates ($20/month rental, and $5/month maintenance) are consistent with other violin rental businesses, but that's where the similarity between Backstage and others ends.
Backstage Music has a simple, one page rental contract that's easy to understand. We give discounts on rentals that span multiple months. The maintenance portion of your rental see covers all parts and labor needed to keep your instrument in top condition, with no deductible.
With most rental businesses, if you end your contract early, you forfeit any pre-paid rental fees. We don't do it that way. At Backstage, any unused rental fees are turned into in-store credit that can be used for anything from strings to guitars to lessons to PA gear.
Another benefit of renting your violin from Backstage is that, should you decide to buy a new violin from us, we'll give you credit for all your rental fees toward the price of a new violin, up to half the cost of the new instrument.
To get started with a violin rental, drop by Backstage Music, and we'll take care of the paperwork. If you don't know what size violin your student needs, we can size your student and make sure he or she has the correct size violin. The rental process takes about 20 minutes (or less) from start to finish.
